  Not a great experience. Sold to us as a service to not only draw our extension but to also offer design ideas. The best idea that came from Ernesto was to place the toilet in the hallway and block off the front door - great! To this day we still have no idea what he was trying to do with that suggestion!
  
  We must have had to call and chase things 30-50 times over the entire period of dealing with EDS. The team came to take calculations and details of our extension and then drew it up completely the wrong size with so many errors, despite me drawing them a 3D drawing to help them! Ernesto caused us nothing but pain and seemed to not understand any of our requirement, with us having to call 8-10 times for him to do just the basics as every revision still had something wrong. He was friendly enough but incompetent at actually doing his job in our experience.
  
  Caroline was always lovely and friendly and was good at her job. A lot of the team members seemed very inexperienced and very rarely (if at all) were able to answer any questions. Most of the time they would answer with "I think so" or "yes, maybe" which made us feel like they had no idea really.
  
  As another reviewer has said, Stephen was nothing short of hard work. He seemed to work against us most of the time to get things done and we had to push hard for him to stop going massively safe with structural requirements, even contradicting manufacturers installation guides, and making us completely change the way our extension looked. He was impolite, difficult and literally pointed nothing out until the very last minute which then caused us massive headaches. To say we were paying for the service, it felt like he was constantly fighting us all the way. The closest we got to an apology for his lack of care was "Yeah, okay, I'll take that on board for next time. Now what do you want to do?" We consulted two other structural engineers in the end (also got them to do the steel beam calculations as we no longer trusted him) and both disagreed with most of the things he said. Stephen also did the building regs, to which we've already found stuff missing which has cost us extra.
  
  All-in-all, the worst contractor of our build! Awkward, hard work and definitely wouldn't use them again. Very expensive for a poor service. There are lots of other good reviews so maybe we got unlucky, but you certainly don't want the added stress of the service they delivered to us on top of everything else! We've already recommended a few friends to go elsewhere.
